Willine Louis, PMHNP

Willine Louis is a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has been in the medical field for over 20 years. She started out initially as a registered nurse, then went on to further her education as an FNP, then PMHNP to better meet the needs of her clients. As a registered nurse, she worked in various inpatient and outpatient positions, including critical care, telemetry, and dialysis. She has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 10+ years. She has worked in various areas of medicine which has enhanced her ability to better evaluate the needs of her clients. As a family nurse practitioner, she has worked in the hospital, cardiology, endocrinology, urgent care, and primary care. 

She became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner (PMHNP)  after realizing our mental and physical health are very intertwined. Many physical ailments will not improve without proper mental health. As a PMHNP, she has worked in addiction medicine, assisted and skilled nursing facilities, telehealth, and office settings. 

She will listen intently and will discuss all the possible options. Her diverse background makes it easier for her to see her clients as a whole. She never utilizes a one size fits all approach with the individuals she treats. She provides a great deal of teaching to ensure her clients fully understand their options. She will work with you to get to the root of your problems and figure out solutions. She utilizes medication management and psychotherapy to meet the needs of her clients.
